Get Your Kids Ready for Life!
Video Interview by Julie Kleinhans with Special Guest Jay Forte
by Julie Kleinhans on January 27, 2016

As a former high school teacher one of the biggest challenges I witnessed with teenagers was that they felt lost when it came to discovering their purpose and passion. When it came to choosing a major for college, and ultimately a career path, many students became overwhelmed and lost.

Parents also became anxious about their child’s future, hoping that they would choose the right path that would lead to a stable and lucrative career. And many times I witnessed parents struggling pushing their child in a direction that the teen resisted.

Is having a stable and lucrative career the most important thing in life? What about the happiness of the student? What about whether he/she feels that they are contributing to society in a meaningful way? Can everyone truly have all of those things in their career? And if so, how to you get there?

When a person enjoys the work they do, it’s not work, it’s their purpose. They are on their path and that adds to their own sense of personal value and contribution.

But how do you, as a parent or teacher, help to guide your child or student to finding their purpose and path in life?

What if my son wants to be a rock star? Do I allow my son to follow his dream? Isn’t it too risky? How will he make a living? Shouldn’t he have a ‘real’ career in mind?

My guest Jay Forte helps parents, teachers and students to understand the answers to these questions and more and I had the pleasure of chatting with him this month.

Jay discusses how to get your kids ready for life in our video chat and the role you play as a parent or teacher.

I’m sure you will find golden nuggets in this video no matter what age your child may be, to help him/her understand their passion and purpose in this game of life!

The Four Gifts of Anxiety
Video Interview by Julie Kleinhans with Special Guest Sherianna Boyle
by Julie Kleinhans on January 23, 2015

Many of us have either suffered from anxiety ourselves or know someone that has. Today, more and more kids are increasingly experiencing anxiety, which is why I wanted to help you by offering a new perspective on how we can heal our anxiety—and that is by looking at the gifts that anxiety is providing for us!

My very special guest Sherianna Boyle came to chat with me about her latest book The Four Gifts of Anxiety. You may be thinking ‘How the heck can anyone consider anxiety a gift?’…And I agree, until you hear what Sherianna has to say.

Sherrianna also wanted to offer my community a very special gift to help release anger. Remember that even if you are ignoring, suppressing or holding in your anger, it still remains part of your emotional set point, and the law of attraction always responds to the vibrations you give off, deliberately or not. Which is why it’s so important to go within and release any anger that may be hiding.

Beat Bullying with Confidence!
Video Interview by Julie Kleinhans with Special Guest Ron Prasad
by Julie Kleinhans on October 20, 2014

Do you know anyone (including yourself) who has ever been affected by bullying? Statistics show that most people have been touched directly or indirectly by the negative effects of bullying at some stage of their lives.

Bullying is one of the biggest threats to children in society today. Research indicates that children who are bullied at school are more likely to suffer from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder later in life.

In some countries, there are calls to make bullying a punishable crime.

What can be done to combat bullying? While there are many resources available online to support people who are being bullied, we are excited to announce that two young men from Melbourne, Australia have just launched their free anti-bullying app – Beat Bullying With Confidence.

Ron Prasad and Gus Nehme are high school friends who were bullied at high school. Their passion for helping others who are being bullied led them to create Beat Bullying With Confidence.

Giving talks at schools on how to avoid being bullied, how to overcome bullying, and how to support others who are being bullied, is what Ron and Gus love doing.

Their app contains practical tips, a journal (verbal and written), and a message from the creators of the app.

This app could help anyone who is experiencing the debilitating effects of bullying.  Although Ron and Gus have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on developing this app, they are giving it away for free because their mission is to empower victims of bullying worldwide.

Simply go to your Google Play Store on Android or to your App Store on Apple and get the app.

Together we can Beat Bullying With Confidence.
